A 6-acre parcel of land in Bristol has sold for $1.3 million.
The buyer, an LLC affiliated with New York-based senior apartment developer Calmar Enterprises, plans 126 units of market-rate senior housing on the site.
The seller, John Senese, had bought the land in 2012 for $70,000, according to public records.
The site at 72 Mitchell St. is itself surrounded on all sides by homes and a medical office building. The land is currently vacant and wooded.
Calmar currently manages over 2,000 units of senior housing across the country, and is currently developing several senior apartment projects, including two in Connecticut: the 122-unit Water Mill Landing East complex in Windsor and the 128-unit Spencer’s Landing in Manchester.
The Cheshire-based R. Calabrese Agency was the sole broker in the transaction.
