A new, app-based shuttle bus will soon start rolling down the streets of Connecticut’s Gold Coast, helping commuters get home without driving.

Westport is launching a pilot program using the Wheels2U bus-based ride-share program following the services’ success in Norwalk, The Hour reports.

The on-demand shuttle will not operate on fixed routes like a traditional city bus and can be called close to riders’ homes.

Real estate agents across the Gold Coast say younger homebuyers are increasingly preferring homes closer to town centers and train stations.
