A half-century-old senior living facility in West Hartford could be reborn in a plan proposed by its owners.

The owner of the West Hartford Fellowship Housing, adjacent to a Big Y supermarket and the town senior center, wants to demolish nearly all of the 24-building, 213-unit complex, according to the Hartford Business Journal.

In its place would rise six new buildings with 264 units, the paper reports. The West Hartford Town Plan and Zoning Commission approved the project June 3, its minutes state.
