The town of Manchester is looking for a partner to redevelop a 23-acre former mall property that anchors one of its major commercial thoroughfares.
The Manchester Redevelopment Authority issued a request for proposals on Monday calling for a “dense, vibrant, economically anchored” mixed-use development with a “strong sense of place” for the back half of the Parkade retail center property on the town’s Broad Street.
The town previously demolished the buildings on the site, which lies in a federally-designated opportunity zone and has form-based zoning that offers “relaxed and flexible parking requirements and floor area ratios,” according to the RFP document.
The RFP touts Manchester’s economy, and the proximity of its historic central business district to the development site.
