Litchfield Bancorp has announced the latest target of its Cash Mob campaign to support local retail.

The newest mob will be held at The Spa at Litchfield Hills in Litchfield. The spa offers facial and massage treatment rooms, a nail room featuring whirlpool shiatsu massage pedicure chairs, a full-service hair salon and a relaxation room overlooking a private pond.

During the monthly events, one local business will be “mobbed” by Litchfield Bancorp employees in an effort to show their support of local businesses by shopping local, according to a press release from the company. The event is open to the public and customers are encouraged to mention that they are “Cash Mobsters” to obtain a special offer from Litchfield Bancorp as well, including a tote bag with any purchase of $25 or more and a coupon for 10 percent off any service at the salon during the month of February.

The event is planned for Feb. 12 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

“The Spa really went above and beyond by offering some great discounts to their customers,” Tom Villanova, president of Litchfield Bancorp, said in a statement. “We love to see the local community really supporting each other. That’s really what our Locally Owned, Locally Grown campaign is all about – supporting local businesses and the communities that we serve.”
