N.Y. May See Exodus To Fairfield County

The time of the casual real estate speculator finding success is probably about to come to a conclusion as the end of the housing boom slows down the economy. But Fairfield County has the potential to see something of a mini-commercial real estate boom as the market in Manhattan, N.Y., gets tighter and companies look outside of Gotham for alternatives.

Utopia Proposal Faces Vote Next Week

Its proponents want to see more jobs and a reduction in taxes, and its naysayers believe it will never happen. But next week the Utopia Studios project in Preston – a $1.6 billion movie studio and theme park – either will be off the table or will be one step closer to reality when an advisory board votes on whether to send the development agreement to referendum.

CBRE to Lease Space at Stamford Plaza
The owners of one of Stamford’s most significant office parks recently made a change in its brokerage representation, appointing CB Richard Ellis brokers as exclusive listing agents. Harbor Plaza Assoc., owner of Harbor Plaza, has appointed CB Richard Ellis’ William V. Cuddy Jr. and Budd Wiesenberg exclusive leasing agents for the six-building complex.
